ESSENTIALS
Medium-large sized back-pack, 60-85 liters (to pack your stuff in).
Small- medium day-pack, 30-45 liters.
Mountain quality standard sleeping bag with a hood(3-4 season).
Thermal rest or roll mat.- a self inflating light mattress would be ideal.
At least 3 liter drinking water in a durable water container.
Dry bags(polythene) of different sizes for clothes, sleeping bags and so on.
Water-proof boot with ankle support.
2 to 3 hiking T/shirts and 2 to 3 hiking shorts-pants e.g. (quick dry -polyester.)
2 pairs of gloves (1 woolen for warmth & 1 waterproof for summit).
Fleece bottoms, (or 100% polyester/wool).
1 or 2 Fleece jackets.
1 Fleece vest.
2 Poly-pro top & 2 bottoms (100% polyester).
Thin-next-to-the-skin - (thermal base layers).
1 or 2 Light Wind-jacket and wind pants.
1 summit pant.
4 Pairs of woolen hiking socks.
2 Pairs of fleece socks.
1 or 2 balaclavas or hiking buffs.
Long raincoat or rain suit or poncho.
Sun-Cap or sun hat.
Tint sunglasses.
Head torch or light weight flashlight, fully loaded and backed up.
Personal effects (light face towel, biodegradable soap, bandana, glycerin, teeth kit, sunscreen, energy sweets and snacks)..
Original Passport or National ID for citizens-( B&W photocopies wont work).
